BICP Non-Disclosure Agreement
- To participate in the Bike Instructor Certification Program – Certification Course/s. The Bike Instructor Certification Program requests and the Recipient agrees that the Recipient will protect the confidential material and information which may be disclosed between the Owner and the Recipient.
- No portion of this publication may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means, including photocopying, recording, or other electronic or mechanical methods, without prior written permission of the publisher.
- The Recipient agrees that by agreeing to the Terms and Conditions at the time of registration you will adhere to the BICP Non-Disclosure Agreement and the payment will bind this agreement. Further details on the agreement can be found here.
Course Refund
- No refunds will be issued for any online curriculum offered through the BICP/BICP Europe.
- Between 60 and 30 days prior to the course start date, BICP Europe will retain 25 percent of the course fees (plus the online course fees and an administration fee of €25).
- Between 15 and 29 days prior to the course start date, BICP Europe will retain 50 percent of the course fees (plus the online course fees and an administration fee of €25).
- Less than 15 days prior to the course start date, no refund will be issued.
- All course materials must be returned to receive a refund.
Should there be a free spot on a future course, you can take part in the course by paying a 25,- € administrative fee. This spot is not bookable in advance and participating is only possible, if there is still a spot 2 weeks prior to the course.
Course Cancellation
- BICP reserves the right to cancel a training course due to insufficient enrollment at least 30 calendar days in advance of the scheduled course date. Notice will be provided with the option to reschedule for a future course date or to receive a full refund of registration fees.
- BICP is not responsible for any expenses incurred by the customer if a training course is canceled.
- If a training class is canceled due to any unforeseen circumstances such as weather or natural disaster, the customer is entitled to reschedule for a future training course.
- Special circumstances will be reviewed by the BICP program manager. i.e. Sickness/ injury – we will work to reschedule for a future course date or to receive a full refund of registration fees.
Retesting
- If a participant should not pass the Level 1 certification course – the participant can apply to retest up to 3 months after the course.
- If a participant should not pass the Level 2 certification course – the participant can apply to retest up to 6 months after the course.
- If a participant should not pass the Level 3 certification course the participant can apply to retest up to 1 year after the course.
Annual Membership Dues
- The cost of the BICP Europe annual membership fees is €20.-
- Annual membership dues are not included in the course fees. (Please contact Administration if you are current before registering for a course)
- Annual membership dues will be set as a reoccurring payment through PayPal or Credit Card
- No refunds will be issued for membership dues.
- Cancelation of membership dues is the responsibility of the individual member.
Right of Refusal
BICP reserves the right to deny participation to anyone that BICP, in its sole discretion, believes is unable to meet the physical, psychological, cognitive, social, or safety demands of our courses.
Promotion
BICP uses students’ names, photos, and other images, in promotional material, social media, videos, and press releases.
Health and Safety
BICP is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all workers (including contractors and volunteers) as well as clients, visitors, and members of the public. Hazards and risks to health and safety will be eliminated or minimized, as far as is reasonably practicable.
COVID-19 Guidelines
The Bike Instructor Certification Program has prepared guidelines for the safety and well-being of our Instructor trainers and participants.
These guidelines outlining the work safe / learn safety procedures and protocols for all in-person courses administered by the Bike Instructor Certification Program and will be revisited on a monthly basis.

Assumption of Risk
Mountain biking, by its nature, is a dangerous sport with unpredictable risks. Minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains can occur, as well as major injuries such as concussions, broken bones, and heart attacks. There is always a chance of catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death.
BICP Instructor Trainers will:
- Ensure the training complies with all legislation relating to health and safety
- Eliminate or minimize all hazards and risks as far as is reasonably practicable
- Provide information, instruction, and training to all participants
- Train each participant to ensure activities are performed safely
- Wear all appropriate safety equipment(helmet) while riding their bike
Participants will:
- Take reasonable care of their own health and safety
- Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, instructions, and rules
- Will keep current First-Aid/ CPR certifications
- Report health and safety hazards to the necessary participants, host, vendors, and program manager
- Report all injuries and incidents no matter how small they may seem
- Wear all appropriate safety equipment (helmet) while riding their bike

The BICP works to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment. This includes free of violence for our employees, independent contractors, participants, Hosts, and Venues. Every member of the BICP has a personal responsibility to each other to treat each other with dignity and respect.

A conflict of interest is defined as an actual or perceived interest by a staff or board member in an action that results in or has the appearance of resulting in, personal, organizational, or professional gain. Officers and board members are obligated always to act in the best interest of the organization. This obligation requires that any officer or board member, in the performance of organization duties, seek only the furtherance of the organization’s mission.
